The Mo Osborne Lifetime Achievement Award 2011

Posted: 11 October 2011

Nominations are open for the second annual Mo Osborne Lifetime Achievement Award.

Mo was Company Secretary for NAEGA from 2005 until her death in 2010. She was deeply committed to the delivery of quality career guidance for adults. Mo started her career in guidance in the early 1980s after leaving teaching. She worked in a number of London Boroughs but spent the majority of her career working for Hertfordshire Careers Service and finally as manager of the nextstep service. She was a passionate advocate for adult guidance and worked tirelessly for NAEGA as a member of the Board and as Company Secretary. In recognition of the commitment and contribution of Mo to NAEGA the Board established this award in her memory.

This lifetime achievement award recognises and promotes exceptional commitment to adult guidance. It will be awarded to an individual identified as making an outstanding contribution to adult guidance; this may be in the form of service delivery, research, development of personal or organisational practice. The key criteria must evidence an exceptional and passionate commitment to adult guidance and its role in supporting individual developments.

The award is open to all NAEGA members. The closing date for nominations is 5pm on Friday 23rd December 2011.
