Complimentary NAEGA membership for 2012
Posted: 2 December 2011
NAEGA Chair Heather Jackson is writing to current and past NAEGA members, announcing future plans for NAEGA and the offer of a year's complimentary NAEGA membership:
Dear NAEGA supporter
Complimentary NAEGA membership for 2012
As a current or former member of NAEGA we would like to offer you complimentary membership of NAEGA up until the end of 2012. If you have already paid your subscription for this year we will be arranging for you to be refunded.
There are two important reasons why we are making this offer:
- We are now moving towards having a new professional body for the whole of the sector at which point all existing organisations will be dissolved. While the timing is as yet uncertain plans are certainly in hand to have something in place by end of 2012*. We do not think it appropriate, therefore, to charge people for membership over this period.
- Also, because this is a very important time for the sector we would like as many people as possible to be able to engage with the consultative activities on the new professional body that will be undertaken during this transitional period. We do not want people to be excluded because they have chosen (for whatever reason) not to renew their subscription.
We would like to extend this offer to as many people as possible, so if you know of anyone else that would like complimentary NAEGA membership (up to end 2012) please ask them to register through this link to access our online registration form.
Also, if your personal details need updating please click on this link to access our online membership system.
We will keep people up-to-date through the NAEGA website, Twitter and regular Newsflashes. We will also be consulting with as many groups of practitioners as possible throughout the year. If you have a group or workshop where you think it would be appropriate to discuss developments and the implications of the new professional body please do not hesitate to contact us. We can be reached through our admin team or via our new Twitter account @NAEGA1.
Best wishes,
Heather Jackson
Chair, NAEGA.* If the position with regard to the new body should change during the year this will not affect your complimentary membership but it may require us to review our position with regard to the future of NAEGA at the end of the period.
