'Fuelling Potential' published by BIS
Posted: 24 May 2010
'Fuelling Potential' is self-described as a 'blueprint' for the launch in England in August of the Skills Accounts, and of the new Adult Careers and Advancement Service. BIS (the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills) has produced this document to cover the essentials.
The new careers service will bring the 'Nextstep' pilots together, along with the learndirect information service. The Skill Accounts will allow people to keep on-line records of their learning, as well as government investment in them. On-line access (e.g., Facebook and Twitter) is prominent, but there will also be some face-to-face work with priority groups and those who choose to pay for advice.
