In and beyond the downturn; the role and promise of adult learning

Report from a recent seminar led by Professor Bob Fryer, formerly chair of the advisory group on lifelong learning for the then Secretary of State for Education and Employment (in England). The seminar was part of the preparatory conference for CONFINTEA IV to be held later this year in Brazil attended by 130 delegates from over 20 countries including several NAEGA members from Scotland.
