LSIS Policy Update No. 23
Posted: 26 September 2009
Welcome to LSIS Policy Update Number 23, compiled by Ben Margulies. This issue of the regular policy news roundup covers the dates 7 to 21 September 2009. Ben writes:
We have the results of the NIACE inquiry into lifelong learning; the results of the 2009 WorldSkills competition, which saw the UK delegation win 8 medals; a blizzard of competing proposals on how to fix the public finances; and confusion surrounding the Conservative plans for the 14-19 Diplomas. Also, we have an interesting report from LLUK on why the upper reaches of FE management remain male-dominated, and some interesting suggestions around university fees.
