Lucy Hearne in Finland
Posted: 21 July 2008
Lucy Hearne was a guidance worker at REGSA in Waterford where she completed a small evaluation project Opening a Door - Evaluating the Benefit of Guidance for the Adult Client (available in the Library). This led her into doctoral research at Waterford Institute of Technology. Her research is ongoing and is supported by a scholarship from the Irish Council for Humanities and Social Sciences.
Lucy has conducted workshops at recent NAEGA conferences and has been booked again for our 2008 conference where her workshop will be on the role of the guidance counsellor as researcher.
Lucy has recently published an article with observations and experiences of Finnish guidance provision in the education and employment sector.
