The Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS) is the new body resulting from the merger of the Centre for Excellence in Leadership and the Quality Improvement Agency. Ben Margulies continues to compile his policy news updates under the new title, and presents LSIS Policy Update No. 1. It covers the period 19 September to 7 October 2008.
