Review of IAG out now
Posted: 15 August 2008
The final report of the 2006 Cross Government Review of Information, Advice and Guidance Services for Adults in England is now available.
The report should be seen as a reference document, reporting the conclusions of the review and the research that lay behind them. The review findings have been used extensively in policy developments since - to inform the response to the Leitch Review of Skills and in a number of later White and Command Papers which have announced and expanded on our plans for a new, universal adult advancement and careers service as part of an integrated employment and skills system.
The review website www.iagreview.org.uk includes key background and papers from the review, but will now also be used to keep you informed about the new adult advancement and careers service, leading up to it being fully operational in 2010-2011. Use the site to record your comments and ideas.
Ministers expect to launch a "prospectus" for the new adult advancement and careers service in late October, which will provide more detail on what the new service will look like, how it will work, and how we will develop and deliver it, working with all our key partners and stakeholders. News of this will also be added to the website.
