Conference information
The NAEGA National Conference is well established as a key event for Adult Guidance practitioners. The 2008 event will enhance this reputation as it offers an intensive programme centering on the themes of personal, social and economic growth through the advancement of Adult Guidance.
The programme is packed with learning and networking opportunities for people new to the sector as well as experienced practitioners, managers, policy strategists, and those working on their own, in small teams or for large service providers. It will focus on finding ways to:
- Deliver excellent services for clients
- Develop personal and professional effectiveness
- Ensure positive outcomes for clients.
The aim of the conference is to give delegates access to valuable information, experience and resources. By the end, everyone will have had a chance to:
- Access the latest research
- Analyse new thinking
- Discover creative solutions
- Explore new initiatives
- Have their say
- Identify effective practice
- Make new contacts
- Network with like-minded professionals
- Understand changes
- Support NAEGA as the national association advocating a universally available service for IAG/Adult Guidance
The format has been developed to offer delegates the opportunity to design a personal itinerary particularly suited to individual professional needs. By doing this you can build on your specific experience to gather the right information for your own work situation. In addition to keynote lectures and panel discussions on areas of special interest, there are 22 subject-specific workshops to choose from.
These cover a diverse range of issues and are presented in a variety of formats by peers representing the private and public sectors, individual consultants and statutory bodies. There are also posters introducing smaller initiatives and exhibitors promoting products and services. There is something for everyone.
